Framed Resonance

Starting in the autumn of 2006, Daniella will be giving a series of concerts that feature works for Marimba and digital electronics. Composers Julio d'Escrivan and Orestis Karamanlis have created extraordinary soundscapes using samples of various percussion instruments that accompany the live marimba parts, played by Daniella. Also, vivid video art adds light and colour making this a particularly sensory experience. These digital elements reside in a pair of computers that Daniella triggers manually whilst performing, via both a pedal board and accelerometer sensors attached to the backs of her hands.
